In the Spring of 2008, Emily received an award from LouLou Magazine, a Canadian women's magazine, for her Toronto Clothing Show Fashion Photo. The photo was quoted as best representing “the spirit of the show and captured the natural element of fashion,” by LouLou’s Associate Promotions Manager Liv Judd. Her photos were featured in a one-page tear spread and were seen in advertisements across Toronto.
For over a year, Emily was apart of the Rogers TV team, Durham Region. She was a videographer for First Local News and in 2008, she became the co-host for Rogers TV's Swap Shop.
In 2009 Emily worked in the editorial department at Toronto's Post City Magazines as a writer, researcher and fact-checker. During her time there she wrote features on The Philosopher Kings' Jarvis Church, one of Canada's top mastering engineers, Noah Mintz, So You Think You Can Dance Canada's Natalli Reznik and 2009 Juno-nominated Toronto band, The Midway State.
In April 2008, Emily joinned the SNAP team full time as the Office Manager and Photographer for the Ajax/Pickering papers.
At the end of 2009, Emily began work on Your Media Pass (www.yourmediapass.com) E-zine. The e-zine launched in the middle of January 2010 and focuses on arts in Durham and across Canada. The online mag has featured the likes of New Kids on the Block's Joey McIntyre, former Sum 41 guitarist Dave Baksh, and Hannah Montana's Emily Osment.
Today, Emily has taken the role as General Manager for the online mag and works as a writer and web content editor at 680News. She also continues hosting Swap Shop on Rogers TV, Durham Region.
